Cara McCollum started the original Birthday Book Project when she was 16. She wanted to share the love of reading by providing underprivileged children with a new age-appropriate book on their birthday. When Cara, Miss NJ 2013 & SNJ News Anchor died in a car accident, this is how we honor her.
